The way items are organised in our database depend on the dealer's item title, description, and categorization. This means that you should try several methods to find all results available for your requests : We suggest that you search only titles to begin with, then try with titles and descriptions. If you are searching several words, try first with the ALL WORD method, then with ANY WORD. Also keep in mind that there can be different spelling for specialized vocabulary, for instance as regards Egyptian antiquities. What does P.O.A. mean ? Sometimes the price information is P.O.A. or P.O.R. for Price on Application or Price on Request, meaning the dealer only whishes to disclose the price to serious requests.

What is CollectingBot.com ?

CollectingBot is a search engine for antiquities collectors. Our service allows collectors, dealers and researchers to browse items available on the Web in a specific category. CollectingBot.com is already the world's largest show & fair of antiquities, and carry items from the beginner's artefact to the international museum level antiquity. The database of items is refreshed on a very regular basis, on a daily basis for some dealers.

Why isn't it possible to sort by price ?

CollectingBot is not a price comparison service. Prices indicated are not comparable : different currencies, different options - shipping costs or fees included or not - for instance in the case of auctions. On the other side, we believe that items such as antiquities are not similar, making price comparison not significant.

Why some dealers are not listed on CollectingBot.com

Guarantee level : All listed dealers offer a high level of guarantees and professionalism, that some websites may not currently offer. Legal basis : Some websites prohibit the use of crawling technology on their catalogue. As a consequence these sites cannot be included. If you think your favorite online dealer should be included, we advise to contact them directly. We welcome new dealers ! Dealers not listed on CollectingBot are welcome to submit their site and set up a partnership with us.
